What we publish
After60Guide publishes practical, educational guides on chair yoga and gentle movement, nutrition, home safety, everyday wellness, and independent living after 60.
We are not a clinic, hospital, or professional advisory. Articles are general information, not personal medical, legal, or financial advice. Details: Disclaimer.
Who is responsible
Editorial lead: Gaurav Sharma, founder of After60Guide.
Email: contact@after60guide.com
Site: https://after60guide.com
Gaurav is not a physician. Health and fitness articles are researched from published sources and written for education. They are not a substitute for a qualified clinician.
How we research
Before we publish a guide that could affect health, money, or safety, we check primary or official sources. Depending on the topic, that may include:
- U.S. government pages such as NIH, National Institute on Aging, CDC, FDA, Medicare.gov, and Social Security Administration
- Peer-reviewed papers indexed in PubMed
- Guidance from established clinical or public-health organizations
We prefer official pages and peer-reviewed research over random blogs. When a figure can change (benefits, eligibility, prices), we tell readers to confirm it on the official site.
We do not invent studies. If a claim is not backed by a source we can point to, we do not present it as fact.
How we write
Guides should be readable for older adults: short sections, plain English, and safety notes where movement or diet is involved. We aim to include seated or lower-intensity options when we describe exercise.
We distinguish “this is general education” from “this is advice for you.” We do not use “cure,” “guaranteed,” or “doctor-approved” language unless a named, qualified person actually reviewed that article.
Dates and updates
Articles show a published date. When we make a substantial change (new evidence, a broken official number, a safety issue), we update the article and refresh the date.
We periodically review older guides. We cannot watch every government page every day. If something looks outdated, email us.
Use of tools, including AI
We may use software for outlines, grammar, organizing notes, or drafting. That does not replace checking sources.
No article goes live without human review. Gaurav (or an editor he assigns) is responsible for what is published. We do not auto-publish unreviewed machine output.
Editorial independence
Topics are chosen for usefulness and safety for readers over 60, not for an advertiser. If we mention a product, we look at practical points such as ease of use, stability, and whether it is appropriate to discuss at all.
Ads and affiliate links do not buy a positive conclusion. If we cannot stand behind a description, we do not publish it.
Affiliate links and ads
The site may show ads, including Google AdSense. Some articles include affiliate links. If you buy through a qualifying link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
After60Guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and related sites.
When an article has affiliate links, we disclose that on the page. A link is not a command to buy, and it is not medical approval of a product.
See Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, a bad statistic, or a broken source link, email contact@after60guide.com with the subject line Editorial Correction. Include the article URL and what is wrong.
We review correction requests and fix confirmed errors. Substantial corrections are reflected in the article text and date.
Comments and reader input
Reader experience is welcome. It is not the same as clinical evidence. We may edit or remove comments that are spam, abusive, or unsafe (for example, telling someone to skip their doctor).
What we will not do
- give personal medical, legal, or financial advice
- diagnose, prescribe, or recommend that you stop a medication
- claim we are a hospital, “expert-backed clinic,” or a substitute for your clinician
- hide affiliate relationships
- publish scraped or copied articles as original work
