After60Guide.com (“After60Guide”, “we”, “us”) is an educational website with practical guides on health, mobility, nutrition, home safety, and everyday living after 60. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

Who we are

Website: https://after60guide.com
Email: contact@after60guide.com

After60Guide is not a medical practice, clinic, or law/finance firm. We do not create a doctor–patient or advisor–client relationship.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to after60guide.com and emails you send us. It does not apply to other websites we link to (for example government or product pages). Those sites have their own policies.

Information we collect

1. Information you give us

If you email us, we receive:

  • your name (if you include it)
  • your email address
  • your message
  • any files or details you choose to send

We use this only to reply and to keep a record of the request. We do not sell it. We keep it as long as needed to handle the request, then delete it unless we must keep it for a legal reason.

We do not require an account to read the site. We do not ask for medical records, Medicare numbers, Social Security numbers, or payment card details.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host and software may log:

  • IP address
  • browser type and version
  • device and approximate screen size
  • date and time of the visit
  • pages viewed
  • referring / exit pages
  • general location at city or country level (not your street address)

This data is used to run the site, find errors, understand which guides are useful, and keep the site secure. It is not used to identify you by name.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar tools to:

  • keep the site working (security and load balancing)
  • remember cookie-banner choices
  • measure traffic with Google Analytics
  • show ads with Google AdSense, if ads are enabled

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work as well.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see aggregate information such as which pages are read, how long people stay, and whether they use a phone or a computer. Google Analytics may use cookies and receive your IP address. We use this to improve navigation and content. We do not use Analytics to sell a list of our readers.

Google AdSense and advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Google is a third-party vendor. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • serve ads on this site
  • measure whether ads were shown or clicked
  • show ads that may be more relevant based on your visits to this site and other sites (personalized ads), where allowed

After60Guide does not control Google’s cookies and does not receive a name-and-address file from Google about you.

Opt out of personalized Google ads: https://www.google.com/settings/ads

Other opt-out: https://www.aboutads.info/choices

Google advertising: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, Google may show non-personalized ads unless required consent is given through a consent message, where we use one.

Affiliate links

Some articles may include affiliate links (for example to a product or retailer). If you click and buy, the retailer may use cookies to credit the referral so we can receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by After60Guide. We do not receive your payment card details from those purchases.

After60Guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and related sites. Amazon cookies are governed by Amazon’s privacy terms.

How we use information

  • operate and secure the website
  • reply to emails and correction requests
  • understand which guides help readers
  • show advertising (AdSense) and measure it
  • comply with law if we are legally required to

We do not sell your name or email list. We do not use your contact messages to build a marketing list unless you clearly ask to be added.

Legal bases (EEA/UK readers)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on:

  • legitimate interests — running a secure, useful website and seeing aggregate traffic
  • consent — non-essential cookies and personalized ads, where a consent tool is required
  • your request — when you email us and we reply
  • legal obligation — if the law requires us to keep or disclose something

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA-style rights), you may ask us to:

  • access personal data we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate data
  • delete data we do not need to keep
  • object to or restrict certain uses
  • receive a copy of data you provided (portability), where it applies

California residents may also ask whether we “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell names or emails. Advertising cookies used by Google may be treated as “sharing” for ads. You can opt out of personalized ads using the Google and AboutAds links above.

To make a request, email contact@after60guide.com. We may need to confirm you are the person making the request. We aim to respond within one month.

Children

After60Guide is written for adults, older adults, and caregivers. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email contact@after60guide.com and we will delete it.

External links

Articles may link to government, health, or product sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before you submit information there.

Data security and retention

We use HTTPS and standard hosting security. No website is 100% secure. Do not send medical records, ID numbers, or payment card numbers to our contact email.

Hosting and logs are kept only as long as needed for security, backups, and legal reasons. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request, unless we must keep them longer.

Who we share data with

We share data with:

  • our hosting provider, to run the website
  • Google, for Analytics and AdSense, as described above
  • email delivery, if we use a host mailbox to receive contact@after60guide.com

We do not sell mailing lists. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the site, or in connection with a merger or transfer of the site, with the same privacy limits where possible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. If we make a material change (for example a new way we collect personal data), we will post the revised policy on this page.
